The cable may have the word Samsung on it, but the cable I received was not the same quality as the one that came with the device. And the one that came with the device worked. This one did not.

I got this to have an extra cable for my Galaxy 10.1 tab. I was told this would work with my tablet, but when I plug it in, there is a big red X through the battery. It does charge, but takes about 10 hours or longer to get it to a full charge, and that is when the battery is still about 50% charged to start with. I am not sure why this wouldn't work the same as the cable that came with the tablet, but it just does not.

Looks the same as the cable that came with my galaxy tab 7+. I have not tried to use this for data transfer. It charges when I plug it into the OEM charging block, which is what I initially purchased it for

It's a good thing this item was cheap because it's crap. My first thought was "this looks used" and sure enough it is as there are scratches on the plug end like someone stepped on it and slid it across the floor. Correct me if I am wrong and I am sorry if so but the description of this item does not say that it is used. Second thought; "wow the cord is thin and flimsy." I agree with one of the other reviewers in saying that it may have the word Samsung on it but it's no where near the quality of the USB cord that came with my Galaxy tablet. I also must note that although the 30-pin side connects to my Galazy Tab 10.1 LTE device, the USB side is so hard to insert into the USB port on my computer that I didn't think I'd get the thing out. Two stars only because it does work, So far.
