Excellent quality productMar 03, 2012

I've owned a few Sony in-ear headphones and had nothing but positive experiences with all of them. I was able to find these new on Amazon in January for $70 and the sound quality/clarity alone justify the cost. The brushed aluminum is a nice touch also and overall, I prefer the form factor of this pair and that of the EX-300 (which I also own) over the newer, slightly bulkier EX-310/510 models (replacements to the EX-300/500, respectively). Again, the sound quality/clarity & bass easily justify the cost if you can still find this discontinued model- especially if you're using the standard Apple white earbuds which I find useless if you have any sort of appreciation for decent sound (aside from being extremely uncomfortable). Highly recommended product!

I got this Sony MDR-EX500LPfrom Amazon over a year ago. At the time, they cost me around $150, and I was very happy with its performance, and still. The price now dropped significantly, which make it of a very good value.
I still love this pair, and I would still recommend it, however , if you prefer deeper bass, then consider the MDR-EX30 which sounds as good, and it cost less as well.
