4A fair but short review...Aug 14, 2010
By Mike Bastien
Bought the iClooly, Touch Tec, and Pogo Sketch to use with my iPad. After all the mixed reviews I decided that I would just get all three and help other people out with their selection.

This is the utilitarian approach out of the three options. The construction is somewhat cheap but it is not SHODDY like the Touch Tec pen. This thing registers perfectly when held at a typical angle that you would use to write with a pen. The Touch Tec pen had to be held completely perpendicular to the touch screen so this one completely blows it out of the water. The main thing holding this back from getting 5 stars is that it could have at least included a cover for the writing tip. I am somewhat worried as to how long it will last by putting it into my computer bag.

So 4 stars for this one, 1 star for the Touch Tec, and 3 stars for the iClooly...

4Works But OverpricedJun 12, 2010

I use it a lot on my iPad and iPhone. Great for taking notes on the iPad using Note Taker. My only gripe is its construction. The clip broke off within the first week of owning it. At the cost of $15.00 it should be indestructible.

4Decent Pen for the ipadJul 15, 2010
By Casey S
As a pen for the iPad, it gets the job done. But it's not perfect, since it sometimes doesn't respond well to it. I would definitely recommend this to someone who plans to use it for tablet apps like penultimate.

1Not as good as advertisedAug 22, 2010
By John T. Kamenik
This item comes up pretty much first on every iPad stylus search. I have no idea why, but probably due to a heavy marketing compain, because the quality of this item is crap.

First, the tip is foam. Not a huge issue on its own, except that it constantly looses it shape, and when it goes flat it stops working well. Also, you have to hold the stylus almost perpendicular to the surface to get it to work. My natural writing poster is not that of a 1 year with a crayon, so I find this very uncomfortable.

Second, the top is made of plastic. This wouldn't be such an issue, except that there is no other way to secure the stylus to an iPad except by using the plastic grip. What this means is that inside of a week, unless you have taped the stylus to the iPad it will be broken. My stylus broken inside a week, but my friends had their broken in shipping.

Third, the stylus is too small for a good hold. It is both too thin and too short to hold comfortably for long periods of time, but that is mostly due to how you have to hold to make it work. But if it were longer and slightly thicker it would be better.

The boxway stylus is much better. Its grip is meta, but it also comes is a connector that fits in the headphone jack. The tip is rubber and works pretty much at any angle. And it feels better in the hand. Buy it instead.

1Ugh...May 13, 2011
By M. Tannacore
I normally don't write reviews unless I feel a product is being misrepresented by other reviews, or a need to warn other consumers. I bought a simpler style pogo stylus for my iPod touch not too long ago. It has a flat tip. It works fine (although I'm not crazy about the 'foam' tips). I can type faster with it, and pick things out better (I have thick fingers). I am also an artist, and actually bought a sketching program for my iPod. But the other stylus is way too imprecise for drawing. This stylus is supposed to be specifically for sketching. It has a somewhat tapered foam tip for finer precision. It doesn't even *work*! I have to press so hard on it to even get it to do anything on the iPod that it totally defeats the purpose of this stylus. If you want a cheap stylus for better precision, get one of the other half dozen Pogo stylus' that are cheaper. If you want to sketch on your iPod, I'd suggest you find something better.
